Originally constructed in 1993 following plans by architect Klaus Wolff, it was designed to replace older, less suitable community facilities. The building houses a variety of spaces including a large hall suitable for concerts and events like the Jazzrausch Bigband performance, alongside smaller rooms used for workshops, meetings, and community groups. It functions as a central hub for cultural activities and civic engagement within Waiblingen, hosting events spanning music, theatre, dance and education. The Bürgerzentrum is managed by the Stadt Waiblingen (City of Waiblingen).
