Jazzbois will perform at the Opernhaus Dortmund on January 15, 2027. The ensemble is recognized for its contemporary jazz sound, blending elements of post-bop improvisation with influences from electronic music and hip-hop rhythms. Their compositions frequently feature complex harmonic structures and extended instrumental solos, often incorporating unconventional time signatures and textural explorations. The group has released three critically acclaimed albums to date, establishing a reputation for dynamic live performances.

The Opernhaus Dortmund opened in 1964 following designs by architect Wilhelm Schneider. It is the primary venue for opera and ballet performances in the city, but also hosts concerts of various genres. The building underwent a significant modernization and renovation between 2007 and 2010, enhancing its acoustic properties and stage technology while preserving its original architectural character. It boasts a capacity of approximately 768 seats and is considered an important cultural landmark within Dortmund, known for its high standards of production quality and artistic programming. The Opernhaus Dortmund is part of the Theater Dortmund organization, which also encompasses a Schauspielhaus (drama theatre) and a Konzerthaus (concert hall).
