Experience Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra live on September 23rd

Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO), under the leadership of Wynton Marsalis, will perform at the Hollywood Bowl on September 23, 2026. JLCO is dedicated to performing and preserving America’s indigenous art form – jazz. Their repertoire encompasses a broad spectrum of jazz history, from early New Orleans jazz through swing, bebop, and contemporary compositions, often featuring arrangements inspired by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and other jazz masters. The orchestra emphasizes both faithful recreation of historical styles and innovative new works.

The Hollywood Bowl is one of the largest amphitheaters in the United States, with a seating capacity of nearly 18,000. Opened in 1922, it’s renowned for its distinctive shell-shaped stage and natural hillside setting. Originally constructed of wood and later rebuilt in concrete in 1929 after a fire, the Bowl has hosted a wide variety of performances including classical music, symphony orchestras, popular music concerts and jazz performances throughout its history. It is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument and is managed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association.
