The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is scheduled to perform at Grugapark Essen on June 27, 2026. Grugapark Essen is a large municipal park established in 1929, originally created as a showcase for gardening and horticulture – “Gruga” being an abbreviation of “Gemeinschaft zur Förderung der Gartenbaukunst” (Community for the Promotion of Horticultural Art). The park covers approximately 90 hectares and features diverse garden landscapes including rose gardens, rhododendron groves, and a Japanese garden. A key feature is the RWE Pavilion, a distinctive architectural structure often used for events.
