Experience Isabelle Faust live on September 22nd
Isabelle Faust will perform at the Prinzregententheater in Munich on September 22, 2026. Faust is a German violinist known for her historically informed interpretations and a distinctive, often described as lean and insightful, approach to both standard repertoire and lesser-known works. Her performances frequently emphasize clarity of articulation and a focus on phrasing rooted in research into performance practices of earlier eras. She is particularly recognized for her recordings and performances of Bach’s solo violin works, as well as concertos by composers like Beethoven and Brahms.
The Prinzregententheater opened in 1903, commissioned by Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavaria as a venue for the Bavarian State Opera during the construction of the Nationaltheater (now the Bayerische Staatsoper). Designed by Max Littmann in a Neo-Baroque style, it originally served as a royal box theatre but quickly became an independent opera house. Following damage during World War II, it was rebuilt and reopened in 1958.
