Isabelle Faust is a German violinist renowned for her historically informed performances and insightful interpretations. She frequently engages with composers’ original manuscripts and seeks to understand the performance practices of earlier eras.
The concert on October 15, 2026, will take place at the Herkulessaal in Munich. This hall is a significant part of the Residenz, the former royal palace of the Wittelsbach monarchs of Bavaria. Constructed between 1763 and 1765 under the direction of Cuvilliés the Elder, it’s considered one of the most important rococo interiors in Germany. Originally designed as a festival hall for courtly celebrations, it hosted numerous concerts during its early history, including performances by Mozart who premiered several works there.
Following extensive damage during World War II, the Herkulessaal underwent a meticulous reconstruction completed in 1991, restoring its original splendor. Today it continues to function as a prestigious concert venue known for its exceptional acoustics and ornate architectural details.
