The Pisa Jazz Festival, established in 1973, is an annual event held in various locations throughout the city of Pisa, Italy. The festival has a long history of showcasing both established international jazz artists and emerging talents. In recent years, the festival has broadened its scope to include related genres like contemporary classical music and experimental sound art while maintaining a strong focus on jazz’s diverse forms. The 2026 edition will mark the festival’s 53rd year and continues its tradition of utilizing both indoor concert halls and outdoor spaces within Pisa's historical context – including Piazza dei Cavalieri – as performance venues.
