Ibibio Sound Machine will perform at The Button Factory in Dublin, Ireland on October 9th, 2026. The band creates a unique sound blending modern electronic music with elements of traditional Nigerian highlife and funk. Their music incorporates Yoruba language vocals alongside English, often featuring driving rhythms, layered synths, and energetic guitar work. Formed in London in 2012 by Eno Williams, the group draws inspiration from the post-disco sound of William Onyeabor and other West African artists.

The Button Factory is a well-established live music venue located in the heart of Dublin city centre, on Curved Street. Originally a clothing factory – hence the name – it was converted into a dedicated entertainment space in the late 1990s. It has since become known for hosting both established international acts and emerging Irish artists across various genres including rock, indie, electronic and world music. The venue is characterised by its industrial aesthetic and relatively intimate capacity compared to larger arenas within Dublin. It regularly features on lists of prominent music venues in Ireland and maintains a consistent schedule of performances.
