Hurray for the Riff Raff is scheduled to perform at The Chicago Theatre in Chicago, United States on October 8, 2026. Their sound often incorporates narrative songwriting focusing on themes of working-class life, social justice, and personal experience. Over their career, they have evolved from a largely acoustic folk project to incorporating fuller band arrangements and diverse instrumentation.

The Chicago Theatre originally opened on November 23, 1921, as a lavish movie palace and vaudeville venue. Designed by Cornelius W. Rapp and George C. Rapp, it’s a prime example of opulent architectural design featuring a grand lobby with marble staircases and ornate detailing. Throughout its history it hosted performances by luminaries like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington. Facing financial difficulties in the 1980s, the theatre was saved from demolition through public fundraising efforts and underwent extensive restoration completed in 1986.
