The Orpheum Wien, located in the 2nd district of Vienna, has a multifaceted history. Originally constructed in 1908 as a *Varieté* theatre – a form of mixed entertainment popular at the time – it quickly became known for its lavish productions and diverse performances including operetta, cabaret and musical theatre. Throughout the 20th century it underwent several transformations; serving as a cinema during the interwar period and later being repurposed as a television studio for ORF (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation) from 1953 to 2012.

Following extensive renovations completed in 2015, the Orpheum was re-established as a versatile event venue capable of hosting concerts, conferences, and various cultural events.
