The Tivoli, located on Fortitude Valley’s Fortitude Valley’s Fortitude Valley’s Fortitude Valley’s Fortitude Valley’s Fortitude Valley’s Fortitude Valley’s Fortitude Valley’s Fortitude Valley's Brunswick Street, has a history dating back to 1919 when it originally opened as a vaudeville theatre. Throughout its operational life, it functioned as a cinema before undergoing significant renovations in 2017 to re-establish itself as a live performance venue.

The building retains many of its original architectural features including ornate plasterwork and a proscenium arch. It is known for its standing-room-only format and intimate atmosphere despite its capacity of approximately 1,350 patrons.
