Gonzalo Rubalcaba, a highly acclaimed Cuban pianist and composer, is scheduled to perform at Stodoła in Warsaw, Poland on July 5th, 2026. Rubalcaba’s musical style is deeply rooted in jazz, but incorporates significant influences from Afro-Cuban rhythms, classical music, and elements of world music. He is known for his virtuosic technique, harmonic complexity, and improvisational skills, often blending post-bop sensibilities with a distinctly Latin flavour. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous prominent musicians including Wayne Shorter, McCoy Tyner and Chick Corea.

Stodoła is a historic venue in Warsaw’s Wola district. Originally constructed in the 19th century as a hay storage facility – “stodoła” translates to “barn” in Polish – it underwent significant transformation during the communist era. From the 1970s onwards it became a key location for Poland’s burgeoning rock music scene and independent cultural events, providing a space for artists often censored by the state. Following periods of closure and renovation, it reopened as a concert hall and club maintaining its reputation for hosting both established international acts and emerging artists across diverse genres.
