The Double E, located in Essex County, is a long-standing live music venue with a capacity of approximately 600 people. Originally established as a social hall for employees of the former Essex County Welfare Department in the 1920s – hence the name “Double E” for Essex County Employees – it transitioned into a dedicated music space during the 1980s.
