Friendship is a Philadelphia-based musical ensemble performing original compositions rooted in a blend of jazz, funk, and soul influences. The group has been active since 2019, releasing several well-received albums and establishing a local following through performances at various venues throughout the city.

The First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia, the scheduled venue for the December 8th, 2026 concert, holds significant historical and architectural importance. Founded in 1784, it is one of the oldest Unitarian Universalist congregations in the United States. The current church building, located at 215 South 15th Street, was designed by architect William Strickland and completed in 1832. Notable for its Greek Revival architecture featuring a prominent dome, the church has long been associated with progressive social causes and free thought. Its sanctuary offers excellent acoustics due to its design and has hosted numerous musical performances over the years. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
