ZKO-Haus (Zürcher Kunsthaus Observatory) is a concert hall located within the grounds of the Kunsthaus Zürich art museum. Originally constructed as an observatory in 1891, it was repurposed as a dedicated chamber music venue in 1986 following renovations led by architect Peter Zumthor. The hall is renowned for its exceptional acoustics, achieved through Zumthor’s deliberate design focusing on natural materials and precise geometry.
