Folias Duo will present a concert at the Saugatuck-Douglas District Library on February 21, 2027. The ensemble specializes in early music performance practice, focusing primarily on Spanish and Portuguese vocal and instrumental music from the 16th through 18th centuries. Their repertoire often includes works by composers such as Gaspar Sanz, Santiago de Murcia, and Luiz Nunes, characterized by intricate ornamentation, expressive phrasing, and historically informed performance techniques utilizing instruments like the baroque guitar and vihuela.

The Saugatuck-Douglas District Library serves both Saugatuck Township and Douglas City in Douglas County, Michigan. Established in 1936 as a small reading room within the Douglas post office, it formally incorporated as a district library in 1946. The library moved to its current location at 100 North Maple Street, Douglas, in 1987 following a period of growth and increased community need.
