Sam Shepherd, known professionally as Floating Points, will perform at Worldwide Festival 2026 in Sète, France on June 28th, 2026. His music defies easy categorization, blending elements of jazz, classical, electronic, and ambient music. Often characterized by intricate arrangements, sophisticated harmonic structures, and a focus on textural soundscapes, his work incorporates both live instrumentation and electronic production techniques. He initially gained recognition for his DJing and early EPs before releasing his critically acclaimed debut album *Elaenia* in 2017 and *Crush* in 2022.

Worldwide Festival is an annual music festival curated by Gilles Peterson, celebrating global sounds and fostering cross-cultural musical exchange. Established in 2006, it initially took place in Sintra, Portugal before relocating to Sète in 2015. The festival is known for its diverse lineup encompassing jazz, soul, funk, electronic music and beyond; alongside established artists it frequently showcases emerging talent. Sète itself provides a unique backdrop – a coastal city in the south of France with canals often referred to as the “Venice of Languedoc”.
