Fjarill is a Swedish musical project primarily categorized as darkwave and ethereal wave, incorporating elements of post-punk, shoegaze, and synth-pop. The music is characterized by atmospheric soundscapes, melancholic melodies, and often features layered vocals alongside prominent synthesizer work. Formed in 2018 by Linnea Olsson, the project gained recognition through independently released EPs and albums, cultivating a dedicated online following within the gothic and alternative music scenes.
Tafelhalle in Nuremberg, Germany, operates as a venue for diverse cultural events, with a strong focus on independent and alternative music. Originally constructed in 1896 as part of the city’s municipal slaughterhouses – hence “Tafelhalle” translating to “table hall” referencing meat processing – it underwent extensive renovation in the late 1980s. This transformation repurposed the industrial space into a cultural center hosting concerts, exhibitions, theatre performances and club nights.
The venue is known for its raw aesthetic retaining some of its industrial character alongside modern technical facilities. It has become a significant location for both established and emerging artists within genres like post-hardcore, indie rock, electronic music and related subcultures.
