Fazil Say will perform at Konzerthalle Andermatt on June 5, 2027. Say is a Turkish pianist and composer known for a highly individual style blending Romantic traditions with elements of jazz, traditional Turkish music, and contemporary influences. His compositions often feature virtuosic piano writing alongside lyrical melodies and complex rhythmic structures. He frequently addresses political and social themes within his work, sometimes resulting in controversy. Say’s repertoire includes piano sonatas, concertos, chamber music, and vocal pieces.

Konzerthalle Andermatt opened in December 2019 as part of the wider Andermatt Swiss Alps resort development. Designed by architect Mario Botta, the hall is notable for its acoustics, achieved through a vineyard-style seating arrangement and careful material selection – primarily wood construction. The hall aims to establish itself as a significant cultural venue within Switzerland and internationally, hosting performances spanning classical music (orchestral & chamber), jazz, and other genres. It has quickly gained recognition for its high-quality sound and intimate atmosphere accommodating approximately 600 guests. The venue actively seeks to attract world-class musicians and ensembles to the Swiss Alps.
