Paradiso is a renowned concert venue located in Amsterdam, originally consecrated as a church in 1879. Throughout the early 20th century it served various functions before being repurposed as a cultural centre in the 1960s by a collective of artists and activists seeking an alternative space for performances and events. The building’s interior retains many of its original ecclesiastical features, creating a unique atmosphere for concerts. It is considered one of the most important music venues in the Netherlands and has hosted numerous internationally recognized artists across diverse genres since its establishment as a concert hall in 1968.
