Fareed Haque is a highly regarded guitarist known for his distinctive blend of jazz, classical, and world music traditions, particularly incorporating elements of Hindustani classical music from India. He frequently performs with both electric and acoustic guitars, sometimes utilizing custom-built instruments. Haque has released numerous albums as a leader and collaborator, and is also a professor at Northern Illinois University where he heads the guitar department.
