Classical Concerts in Pärnu linn

Experience Estonian Festival Orchestra live on July 16th

Estonian Festival Orchestra will perform at Pärnu Kontserdimaja on July 16, 2026. The orchestra, founded in 2011 by conductor Paavo Järvi, is characterized by its gathering of Estonian musicians who perform internationally, uniting for select projects rather than functioning as a permanent ensemble. Their repertoire spans a broad range, from classical staples to contemporary compositions, often showcasing the works of Estonian composers alongside established masters. A core tenet of the orchestra’s artistic approach is a commitment to innovative programming and a high level of musical flexibility.

Pärnu Kontserdimaja (Pärnu Concert Hall) opened in 2009 and quickly became a significant cultural venue in Estonia. Designed by architect Tomomi Hayashi, the hall is noted for its modern architectural style and excellent acoustics. It serves as a central location for the Pärnu Music Festival each summer, hosting a diverse range of musical performances including orchestral concerts, chamber music, and vocal recitals. The building’s design incorporates elements intended to enhance the concert experience for both performers and audience members and is considered an important example of contemporary Estonian architecture. The hall provides a capacity of approximately 928 seats.
