The Montreux Music & Convention Centre (2m2c) is a significant venue situated on the shores of Lake Geneva in Montreux, Switzerland. Originally built to host the Montreux Jazz Festival, which began in 1967, the centre has undergone several expansions and renovations. The current building, opened in 2005, replaced the previous structure destroyed by fire in 1973 during a Deep Purple concert – an event famously documented in their song "Smoke on the Water."
