Experience Ensemble Intercontemporain live on September 19th
Ensemble Intercontemporain, founded in 1976 by Pierre Boulez, is a leading new music ensemble dedicated to performing 20th and 21st-century compositions. The group’s repertoire focuses on complex, often avant-garde works, frequently incorporating electronic music and exploring extended instrumental techniques. They are known for their close collaboration with composers and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary musical expression.
The concert will take place at Philharmonie de Paris, a major concert venue inaugurated in January 2015. Situated in the Parc de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, it is designed by architect Jean Nouvel and serves as the home of the Orchestre de Paris. The complex comprises two main halls: the Grande Salle Pierre Boulez, renowned for its acoustics and modular design allowing for varying configurations, and the smaller Salle de Découvertes.
Philharmonie de Paris was conceived as a national project to address France's lack of a modern, large-scale concert hall comparable to those found in other major European capitals.
