Ensemble Diderot is a French period instrument ensemble specializing in 18th-century music, particularly the French Baroque repertoire. The ensemble aims to recreate the sound world of the French court and salons of the 17th and 18th centuries.

The Opéra de Lille, the venue for the May 21st, 2027 concert, opened in 1913 after a fire destroyed its predecessor. Designed by architect Louis Delebarre in a Neo-Classical style, it reflects the architectural trends of the Belle Époque. The building underwent significant renovations between 2003 and 2006, modernizing its technical capabilities while preserving its historical character and ornate interior.
