Established in 1945 by Lucie and Henry Stern, Caramoor began as a private estate showcasing their passion for music and art. Initially focused on opera and chamber music presented in a garden setting, it has evolved to encompass a diverse range of programming including jazz, orchestral concerts, and world music.
