Earth will be performing at The Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio on October 2nd, 2026. Earth is an American post-metal band, originally formed in 1989. Their music is characterized by slow tempos, heavily distorted guitars, minimalist compositions, and a focus on atmosphere and drone. Initially emerging from the hardcore punk scene, the band gradually evolved their sound throughout the 1990s, pioneering what became known as drone metal and significantly influencing the post-metal genre. Recent albums demonstrate a continued exploration of spacious arrangements and evocative soundscapes.

The Schottenstein Center, opened in 1998, is a multi-purpose indoor arena located on the campus of The Ohio State University. It serves as the home arena for the Ohio State Buckeyes men’s basketball team and women’s basketball team. The venue has a seating capacity of approximately 18,870 for basketball games and can accommodate up to 20,000 for concerts depending on stage configuration. Beyond sporting events and concerts, The Schottenstein Center regularly hosts other large-scale events including circuses, ice shows and graduation ceremonies.
