Experience Earth live on July 11th

Earth, a musical project primarily led by Dylan Carlson, will perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 11, 2026. The group is recognized for its pioneering work in drone metal – a subgenre of metal characterized by extremely slow tempos, minimalist compositions, and heavily distorted, sustained guitar tones. Emerging in the early 1990s with their landmark album *Earth 2: Special Low Frequency Version*, the band significantly influenced post-rock and experimental music scenes. Their sound often incorporates elements of country, blues, and ambient music alongside the core drone aesthetic.

Madison Square Garden is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Midtown Manhattan. Originally built in 1879 as Madison Square Garden I, the current incarnation—its fourth location—opened in 1968. It has hosted numerous significant events throughout its history including concerts by many prominent artists across genres, professional sports games (currently home to the New York Knicks and New York Rangers), political conventions, and other large-scale performances. Known for its capacity and central location, it’s considered one of the world’s most iconic venues for live entertainment and sporting events.
