Earth, a pioneering American drone metal band, is scheduled to perform at the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina on July 18, 2026. The group is recognized for its instrumental compositions characterized by heavily distorted guitars, slow tempos, and extended song structures, often evoking vast and atmospheric soundscapes. Emerging from the early 1990s post-metal scene, Earth’s music initially drew heavily from doom metal and hardcore punk influences before evolving into its now signature minimalist style. They are considered highly influential within drone metal and post-rock genres.

First Horizon Coliseum originally opened in 1997 as the Greensboro Coliseum Complex Special Events Center. It underwent a substantial renovation and rebranding in 2021 becoming First Horizon Coliseum through a naming rights agreement. The venue is a multi-purpose arena primarily used for concerts, sporting events – particularly basketball games as home to the Greensboro Swarm (NBA G League) – and other large-scale entertainment events. With a seating capacity of approximately 7,400 for concerts, it represents one of the largest indoor venues in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina.
