His style often features lyrical melodies, vibrant orchestration, and a strong sense of regional identity. He composed in various forms including orchestral works, chamber music, and vocal pieces.

The Rector’s Palace serves as the venue for this performance. Originally constructed in the 15th century on the site of earlier fortifications, it served as the seat of the Rector of the Republic of Ragusa (Dubrovnik) for over five centuries – from 1435 until 1808. The Rector was an elected official who presided over the republic for a term of just eight months, and could not leave the palace during that time except for official functions.
