DIIV, the American rock band formed in Brooklyn, New York in 2011, is scheduled to perform at Blok M Square in South Jakarta, Indonesia on July 19, 2026. The band’s music is generally categorized as shoegaze and dream pop, characterized by heavily effected guitars creating atmospheric textures, layered vocals, and introspective lyrical themes. Early work drew comparisons to bands like My Bloody Valentine and Ride, while later albums have incorporated post-punk influences. DIIV has released three studio albums to date: *Oshin* (2012), *Is the Is Are* (2016), and *Deceiver* (2019).

Blok M Square is a significant commercial and entertainment hub in South Jakarta. Opened in 1995, it was one of the first modern shopping malls in Indonesia and played a key role in establishing Blok M as a youth-oriented district. Throughout its history, Blok M Square has been a focal point for trends in fashion, music and popular culture amongst Jakarta’s younger population. The area surrounding the mall also features numerous street food vendors, bookstores and independent shops contributing to its vibrant atmosphere.
