Flagey - Studio 1 is a renowned concert hall located within the larger Flagey cultural center in Brussels. Originally constructed as a Maison de la Radio (House of Radio) in the 1930s, designed by architect Joseph Van Neck, it served as a broadcasting studio for the Belgian National Radio for several decades. Following renovations in the early 2000s, Flagey reopened as a multidisciplinary arts center. Studio 1 is particularly noted for its exceptional acoustics and intimate setting – seating approximately 200 people – making it a favored venue for chamber music, jazz, and contemporary performances. The space retains much of its original Art Deco aesthetic contributing to its unique atmosphere.
