Often featuring layered vocals and intricate instrumentation, her work draws comparisons to artists like Kate Bush and Cocteau Twins while maintaining a distinctly individual sound. Deradoorian initially gained prominence as a member of the Brooklyn-based band Black Dice before embarking on a solo career releasing albums like *Lemuria* (2015) and *Eternal Yarn* (2019).
Substation is a historic building in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood repurposed as a live music and event venue. Originally built in 1909 as a Seattle City Light substation providing power to the surrounding area, it operated in that capacity for nearly eight decades. The building underwent renovations in the late 1980s and early 1990s transforming it into an arts space. It has since become known for hosting diverse performances encompassing independent music, performance art, and community events. The venue maintains much of its original industrial aesthetic, contributing to its unique atmosphere.
