Dennis Rollins, a highly regarded trombonist, will be performing at Burton Joyce & Bulcote Village Hall on August 21st, 2026. Rollins is known for his vibrant and energetic style, blending jazz with funk, soul, and Caribbean influences – particularly calypso and soca – often described as ‘Trojan Roots’. He gained prominence as a member of the acclaimed British jazz orchestra Jools Holland’s Rhythm & Blues Orchestra and has since established a successful solo career with numerous albums and international performances. His work frequently showcases improvisation and a strong rhythmic drive.

Burton Joyce & Bulcote Village Hall serves as a central community hub for the villages of Burton Joyce and Bulcote, Nottinghamshire. Originally constructed in 1938, the hall was built through local fundraising efforts to provide a space for social and recreational activities. It underwent significant renovations in the early 2000s to improve facilities while retaining its original character. The hall regularly hosts a diverse range of events including film screenings, theatrical productions by local groups, village fetes, and private functions.
