Deafheaven will perform at Liberty Hall in Moore Park, Australia on July 10, 2026. The band is recognized for pioneering a style often described as “blackgaze,” blending elements of black metal – characterized by tremolo-picked guitars, blast beats, and often harsh vocals – with shoegaze’s atmospheric textures, melodic sensibilities, and use of reverb-drenched instrumentation. Formed in San Francisco, California in 2010, Deafheaven has released several critically acclaimed albums including *Sunbather* (2013) and *Ordinary Corrupt Human Being* (2023), gaining international recognition within both metal and alternative music circles.

Liberty Hall is a historic venue located within the Entertainment Quarter of Moore Park, Sydney. Originally constructed in 1938 as a dance hall and entertainment space for workers from nearby industries, it underwent significant renovations in the early 2000s to transform it into a multi-purpose event space. The building retains many of its art deco architectural features. It now hosts a variety of events including concerts, exhibitions, corporate functions and weddings.
