Deafheaven is scheduled to perform at Asheville Yards in Asheville, North Carolina on September 18, 2026. The band is generally categorized as post-metal, though their sound incorporates elements of black metal, shoegaze, and ambient music. Formed in San Francisco, California in 2010, they gained prominence with albums like *Sunbather* (2013), which significantly broadened the boundaries of extreme metal.

Asheville Yards is a relatively new outdoor venue situated on Lyman Street in Asheville. Opened in 2023, it was developed as part of a larger redevelopment project aiming to revitalize the South Slope area. The space is designed to host a variety of events including concerts, festivals and community gatherings. It features a large open-air stage area alongside food & beverage vendors and aims to provide a flexible event space accommodating audiences up to approximately 3,500 people.
