He gained prominence in the 1990s with albums like “Dave Koz” and “Upon My Soul,” and has released numerous charting recordings throughout his career, often collaborating with prominent artists across genres. His performances typically feature a blend of original compositions and carefully curated covers.

The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) opened in 1993 and serves as a regional cultural hub for Southern California. Designed by architect Barton Myers, the center is recognized for its distinctive modern architecture featuring a glass-domed lobby and a focus on acoustic excellence. It hosts a diverse range of performances including Broadway shows, concerts spanning various musical genres, dance performances, comedy acts, and family programming.

The CCPA boasts two primary performance spaces: the 1,350-seat Armstrong Theatre designed for theatrical productions and concerts requiring a proscenium stage, and the 450-seat Studio Theatre which offers more intimate settings suitable for smaller ensembles and experimental work.
