DARKSIDE is a collaborative musical project primarily consisting of Nicholas Jaar and Rafeal Prado. Their sound blends electronic music with elements of jazz, rock, and experimental composition, often characterized by atmospheric textures, complex rhythms, and Jaar’s distinctive vocal delivery. Initially active from 2011 to 2017, the duo released two studio albums – *DARKSIDE* (2013) and *Spiral* (2016) – before disbanding. They reunited in 2022 and have been performing live since, with a new album *The Lotus Pond* released in 2024.

The Lodge Room is a performance venue located in Los Angeles, California. Opened in 2018, it occupies a building originally constructed in 1923 as a meeting hall for the Scottish Rite Freemasons. The space retains much of its original architectural detail, including ornate ceilings and a distinctive stage setup within the former Masonic temple. It's known for its focus on showcasing diverse musical genres—spanning experimental electronic music, jazz, psychedelic rock and beyond—and prioritizing high-quality sound within an intimate setting.
