Otley Courthouse is a Grade II listed building located in the market town of Otley, West Yorkshire. Originally constructed in 1856 as a Mechanics' Institute, it served as a central hub for education and community activities during the Victorian era. Over time it functioned as a magistrates’ court – hence its name – until its eventual closure in 2010.
Following a period of renovation led by Otley Town Council and supported by grants from various organizations including the Heritage Lottery Fund, the building reopened in 2016 as a multi-purpose arts and community venue. It now hosts a diverse programme of events including theatre performances, film screenings, live music concerts, exhibitions, and workshops. The Courthouse retains many of its original architectural features alongside modern facilities.
