Danilo Rea is an Italian jazz pianist renowned for his distinctive improvisational style, often described as lyrical and deeply rooted in the blues tradition while incorporating elements of classical music and Italian songbook influences. He is particularly known for his solo piano performances and his ability to create evocative atmospheres through harmonic exploration and dynamic phrasing. Villa Torlonia, the venue for the July 18th, 2026 concert, is a historical estate located in Frascati, Italy. Originally constructed in the late 16th century by the Torlonia family – a prominent Roman noble family with significant financial influence – the villa underwent substantial renovations and expansions during the 19th century under architect Giovanni Battista Carelli. It served as a summer residence for the Torlonia family for generations.

The villa’s architecture reflects Neoclassical styles, and its grounds feature extensive gardens, fountains, and smaller architectural structures. Following periods of private ownership and varying states of preservation, Villa Torlonia has been restored and now functions as a public space hosting cultural events including concerts and exhibitions.
