Herkulessaal is a renowned concert hall located within the Residenz in Munich. Originally constructed between 1751 and 1753 under Maximilian III Joseph as a gallery for the Bavarian court’s art collection, it was repurposed as a concert hall in 1860. Significant renovations occurred after damage during World War II, with further restoration work completed in the 1990s. The hall is celebrated for its excellent acoustics and opulent Baroque architecture, making it a prominent venue for classical music performances. It currently hosts performances by the Bavarian State Orchestra and other international ensembles and soloists.
