Philharmonie de Paris, inaugurated in January 2015, is the city’s first purpose-built concert hall designed specifically for acoustic excellence. Situated in the Parc de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement, it is a major cultural institution comprising two main halls: the Grande Salle Pierre Boulez – renowned for its adjustable acoustics – and the smaller Salle des Yeux. The building’s architectural design, by Jean Nouvel, features a cloud-like exterior intended to blend with the Parisian skyline. It serves as the home base for the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra and hosts a diverse range of musical performances throughout the year, encompassing classical, contemporary and world music genres.
