Daniel Ho will be performing at the Holland Theater in Bellefontaine, Ohio on April 30, 2027. Ho is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator known for his work blending Hawaiian slack-key guitar traditions with elements of jazz, classical, and world music. His compositions frequently feature ukulele and often explore themes of nature and Hawaiian culture. He has received multiple Grammy Awards for his albums in the Hawaiian music category.
The Holland Theater itself is a restored Art Deco movie palace originally opened in 1928. Designed by architects Graff, Baker & Read of Dayton, Ohio, it served as a prominent entertainment venue for Bellefontaine and surrounding Logan County for several decades. After falling into disrepair in the late 20th century, a significant restoration project led by the Holland Theater Preservation Society was completed and the theater reopened in 2016. The restored venue now hosts a variety of performances including concerts, theatrical productions, films, and community events while retaining many of its original architectural features including ornate plasterwork and a grand lobby. It currently operates as a non-profit organization dedicated to arts and cultural enrichment within the region.
