Dana and Alden are a musical duo known for their intricately arranged indie folk music, often featuring close vocal harmonies and incorporating elements of jazz and classical instrumentation. They gained recognition through independent releases and extensive touring, building a dedicated following with their intimate live performances.

Mr. Smalls Theatre, located in Millvale, Pennsylvania, is a restored Art Deco movie house originally built in 1928. It operated as a cinema until 1976, falling into disrepair before being purchased and renovated in the late 1990s by a local group dedicated to preserving its architectural significance and revitalizing the Millvale community. The venue now functions as a multi-purpose performance space hosting a diverse range of musical acts, theatrical productions, film screenings, and community events.

Known for its unique atmosphere and relatively intimate capacity (approximately 500 standing/800 seated), Mr. Smalls has become a popular stop for both established and emerging artists. The theatre retains many of its original Art Deco features including ornate plasterwork and detailing contributing to its distinctive character.
