Dan E.T. is scheduled to perform at The Lamp Theatre in Irwin County, Georgia on October 3, 2026. Dan E.T., born Daniel Thompson, is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for a musical style often described as “space funk” or “psychedelic soul.” His work blends elements of funk, R&B, electronic music, and jazz, frequently incorporating vintage synthesizers and a distinctive vocal delivery. He has released several albums and EPs gaining recognition for his unique sound and energetic live performances.

The Lamp Theatre originally opened in 1938 as a single-screen movie house serving the community of Ocilla, Georgia. It operated continuously as a cinema until closing in 2007. Following a period of disrepair, a significant restoration project led by the Lamp Theatre Corporation began in 2015. The venue reopened in November 2018 as a performing arts center hosting concerts, theatrical productions, film screenings and other community events. The restored theatre retains much of its original Art Deco architecture while incorporating modern sound and lighting systems. It functions as a key cultural hub for Irwin County and surrounding areas.
