Cuarteto Casals will perform at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall on November 28, 2026. The ensemble is internationally recognized for its interpretations of the classical string quartet repertoire, particularly composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, and Schubert. Their playing is often described as possessing a distinctive warmth and depth of sound, characterized by a refined dynamic range and a commitment to clarity of phrasing. Founded in 1997 by four students from the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid, the quartet quickly gained prominence through awards and consistent critical acclaim.

The Thessaloniki Concert Hall (Αίθουσα Τεχνών Θεσσαλονίκης) opened in 2005 and is a significant cultural landmark in Northern Greece. Designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki, its architectural features incorporate elements reflecting the city’s historical context and waterfront location. The hall comprises two main performance spaces: the “Alexandra Trianti” Hall, a large concert hall with a capacity of approximately 1,850 seats renowned for its acoustics, and the smaller “Manolis Kalomiris” Hall used for chamber music and recitals.
