corto.alto is a Swiss-Italian duo known for their distinctive blend of jazz, improvisation, and electronic music. Their performances frequently incorporate live looping, effects processing, and extended techniques on their respective instruments – piano and saxophone – creating atmospheric and often minimalist soundscapes. They have released albums on established jazz labels and toured internationally, gaining recognition for their innovative approach to contemporary instrumental music.

Doss Trento is a historical site located in Trento, Italy, originally constructed as a fortress during the First World War by the Austro-Hungarian army between 1915 and 1916. Situated on a hill overlooking the city, it served strategic military purposes throughout the war. Following its military use, the structure experienced periods of abandonment before undergoing significant restoration work beginning in the 1990s.

Today, Doss Trento functions as a multi-purpose cultural center and museum dedicated to the memory of the Great War. The complex houses exhibition spaces detailing the conflict’s impact on the Trentino region, alongside areas for concerts, conferences and other events. Its architecture retains elements of its original military design while incorporating modern additions suitable for public use.
