Experience cortex live on September 15th

Cortex is scheduled to perform at Revolution Hall in Portland, Oregon on September 15, 2026. Cortex creates instrumental post-rock music, characterized by dynamic shifts between delicate melodies and powerful, distorted crescendos. Their compositions often feature layered guitars, driving rhythms, and atmospheric textures, frequently evoking cinematic qualities. The project began as the solo work of Michael Senatore in 2011 and has since evolved to include collaborative performances and recordings.

Revolution Hall is a historic venue located in the Buckman neighborhood of Portland. Originally constructed in 1909 as a high school, it served as a public school until 2010. Following extensive renovations, it reopened as a concert venue and event space in 2014. The building retains many original architectural features including its gymnasium floor and exposed brick walls, contributing to its unique atmosphere. With a capacity of approximately 800 standing or 600 seated, Revolution Hall hosts a diverse range of musical acts and events throughout the year. It is known for its excellent acoustics and sightlines within the intimate setting of the former gymnasium.
