Collegium Vocale Gent, conducted by Philippe Herreweghe, will perform at the Philharmonie de Paris on January 26, 2027. The ensemble is renowned for its historically informed performance practice of Renaissance and Baroque vocal music. Their interpretations are characterized by clarity of texture, refined phrasing, and a focus on uncovering the original intent of composers through extensive research into performance techniques of the period. They frequently explore works by composers such as Palestrina, Bach, and Monteverdi, employing minimal vibrato and attention to articulation to recreate sounds closer to those intended at the time of composition.

The Philharmonie de Paris, inaugurated in January 2015, is a major concert hall complex situated in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Designed by Jean Nouvel, it features a Grande Salle with a capacity of approximately 2,400 seats known for its adjustable acoustic capabilities and vineyard-style seating arrangement which surrounds the stage. The complex also includes smaller concert spaces – the Salle des Yeux – and exhibition areas dedicated to music. It serves as a significant venue for classical music performances, hosting both French and international orchestras and ensembles.
