Founded in 1994 by bassist Mike Rivard, Club d'Elf initially began as a weekly jam session at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, Massachusetts and has evolved into a consistently evolving ensemble featuring a rotating cast of musicians. Their sound incorporates improvisation, complex rhythms, and often features extended instrumental passages.

The Word Barn is a performance venue and bookstore located on a working farm in Exeter. Originally constructed as a dairy barn in the late 19th century, the structure was repurposed into its current function by owner Sarah Audsley. It’s recognized for its distinctive acoustic properties stemming from its wooden construction and intimate setting. The venue hosts a variety of events including concerts spanning genres like folk, jazz, and world music alongside literary readings and workshops. The space aims to foster community engagement through arts & culture within a rural environment.
